Diverse Abilities Plus is a charity providing people-centred support and services for children and adults,who have physical and/or learning difficulties,many of which are profound or complex. We are based in Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset - England.
We were founded in 1955 by a group of parents intent on providing better opportunities for their children with physical and learning disabilities. Today we provide a range of services for both children and adults.
Our motto illustrates our determination to embrace and develop new opportunities for people with disabilities. To this end we are committed to:
- Promoting and establishing supported living
- Learning for life
- Offering choice and opportunities
- Raising the awareness of disability issues within the community
