Smithers Short Stay
Smithers was opened as a short-stay residential home in 1995. The house has 5 bedrooms and provides overnight care or day care for children and young people from the ages of 2-19 years.
Our aim is to provide a ‘home from home’ environment for the children and young people who stay with us, so that both they and their parents feel happy with their ‘sleep over’
The house has a large living area where children and young people can relax and enjoy each other’s company, while outside we have a good-sized garden with a swing, shaded area and still space to play and have fun in a safe and secure environment.
Children and young people enjoy a variety of activities including cooking, games, arts and crafts, water/sand play, television, music, and trips out to local attractions.
